As an indispensable element in any system, maintaining the roughing pump's peak performance is imperative.
Dry Pumps
Dry pumps operate without the need for lubricating or sealing fluids in their pumping chambers.
This feature ensures a clean pumping system, eliminating the risk of oil migrating into the evacuated system.
These positive displacement rotary pumps utilise pairs of intermeshing rotors with different profiles mounted on common shafts,
all held in correct phase relation by a pair of timing gears. The pump shafts and rotors are constructed from cast iron.
The motor drive-shaft is equipped with internal and external shaft-seals made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
Bearings, located on the high vacuum end of the shaft near the pump inlet, are packed with perfluoropolyether (PFPE) grease.
This design contributes to the pump's efficiency and reliability.
As with all complex mechanical assemblies, regular maintenance by skilled technicians using high quality parts will ensure optimal performance,
longevity and reduced cost of ownership.
