Wave software starts automatically from power up, with no requirement to log in or perform a complex starting procedure.
The system is ready for operation within a few seconds and presents the operator with the overview screen.
This is one of many tabs available for both programming and monitoring the process, some of which can be password protected,
so that coating process can not be inadvertently altered.
The software is designed so that once programmed,
the entire process can be completed without operator intervention.
The overview tab functions as a comprehensive, view-only dashboard, presenting all pertinent process activities.
During automated processes, pumping and venting functions and crystal selectors are greyed out however when the system is idle they can be operated manually.
At the top, a dedicated banner is allocated for coating source control.
Seasoned operators will find familiarity in its layout, reminiscent of a modernised version of traditional deposition controller displays.
Grouped for clarity, the source power percentages, rate and thickness indicators, and the rate deviation graph are thoughtfully organised
to eliminate any potential confusion.
At the left of the screen the first full length column is dedicated to basic machine control information.
Status lights indicate the position of the source shutters, which sources are active, temperature, gas flow and deposition pressure information.
The centre of the screen is dedicated to the system mimic.
Information from the distributed controllers is displayed here and gives the operator a pictorial representation of plant status.
